Question 1

How do I test my YouTube thumbnail before uploading?

Accepted Answer

Drop your thumbnail designs into Thumbnail Lab. They appear inside a simulated YouTube feed, Shorts shelf and search results so you can judge them exactly the way viewers will.

Question 2

What is a 3-second glance test?

Accepted Answer

Your thumbnail flashes for 3 seconds, then you answer what you remember. If it fails the glance test, viewers scrolling a real feed will skip it too.

Question 3

Can I A/B split test thumbnails for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Load two or more variants and Thumbnail Lab scores them side by side so you publish the strongest one — free and without signup.
